汪国平,北京大学信息学院教授,1987年7月和1990年1月分别获得哈工大理学学士和硕士学位,1997年6月获得复旦大学理学博士学位。1999年7月起在北京大学计算机系任副教授,2002年8月起任北京大学信息科学技术学院教授,主要研究方向为计算机图形学、人机交互与虚拟现实等,现任北京市虚拟仿真与可视化工程技术研究中心主任,北京大学信息学院软件研究所副所长,图形与交互技术实验室主任。

       近二十年来,汪国平主要侧重在大规模分布式虚拟场景的快速重建技术方面的研究,2000年负责研制了我国第一个高速网上大规模分布式虚拟现实支撑系统,在我国大型国防工程项目中得到良好应用。 近年来,他主持研发了多个具有完全自主知识产权的软件平台,包括三维几何造型系统、基于物理的仿真引擎、CAD/CAE一体化的设计优化仿真迭代系统等,在汽车设计和建筑设计仿真等方面获得了良好应用,也包括超大规模分布式虚拟现实综合集成支撑平台、视景仿真系统以及基于图像的三维重建系统等,在国防军事、数字海洋、文化娱乐、航空航天、智慧城市等行业获得了良好应用。

       汪国平在本专业领域国内外重要学术会议和期刊(其中包括ACM TOG、IEEE TBME、CGF、CAGD、CAD等领域专业顶级期刊)发表学术论文170余篇,其中有两篇论文分别在本领域顶级国际会议ACM SPM2007和重要国际会议第十届IEEE CAD/Graphics国际会议获得最佳论文奖,一篇论文获得ChinaCAD/CG2016最佳论文奖。申请或授权的国家发明专利40余项。 2008年获得教育部科技进步一等奖一项(排名第一),2009年获得国家杰出青年基金资助,2010年获国务院政府特殊津贴。兼任中国计算机学会CAD与图形学专委会副主任委员(2015-),人机交互专委会副主任委员(2013-)、曾任中国计算机学会虚拟现实与可视化专委会副主任委员(2008-2015),中国图象图形学会副理事长(2016-),北京图象图形学会副理事长(2007-),中国图学会常务理事(2015-),CSIAM几何设计与算专委会副主任委员(2015-),中国指挥与控制学会虚拟现实与人机交互专委会主任委员(2017-),同时兼任军委科技委创新领域专家(2016-)、国家信息标准化委员会专家委员(2013-),国家信息标准化委员会SC24分委会副主任委员(2015-),图学学报主编,CAD与图形学学报编委等。

GuopingWANG, Professor of Computer Science, Peking UniversityAssociate Director of Institute of Software, Peking University, and Director of Graphics & Interactive Technology Laboratory, Peking University.

He got Bachelor's and Master's degree from Dept. of Mathematics, Harbin Institute of Technology in 1987 and 1990 respectively, and got Ph.D from Institute of Mathematics, Fudan University in1997.

He was engaged in postdoctoral research in Dept. of Computer Science, Tsinghua University from 1997 to 1999, and got full professor position in Dept. of Computer Science, Peking University in 2002. He achieved the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2009.
